The date of this entry is March 19th 2008, but it illustrates an event that happened several years earlier. The text surrounding the drawing is all about how much I wished I could be extroverted and happy again, rather than sad, withdrawn and frightened of everything. So apparently I decided to cheer myself up by dwelling for a while on the memory of a pretty girl telling me how radiant and popular I was. It probably worked.
When I look at photos from my wedding, which happened in 2004, most of the candid shots are pictures of you, so apparently the photographer thought the same thing!

I find the differences between how we see ourselves and how others see us to be daunting, but wonderful, at times — beautiful image.
